We were fortunate to secure a small parcel of super premium fruit from a neighbouring vineyard. This will be an exceptional wine. The colour is fantastic — deep, rich purple — and already has that peppery flavour that distinguishes the great Adelaide Hills shiraz from the more overripe, plummy qualities that is associated with Barossa, Clare and McLaren Vale.

This wine picked up a Silver Medal at the Small Winemakers Show 2008 at stanthorpe and have received some wonderful praise. Adelaide Hills shiraz at its best is a lighter, more sophisticated style than warmer climate Barossa and McClaren Vale styles.

Rated 94 points by independant reviewer 'The Wine Front', it has recently been sampled by leading British wine author Andrew Jefford and comparred to the Northern Rhone shiraz.
